Shipyard and Fueling Jetty
boardyard2Errol Flynn Marina’s brand new haul out, repair, and yacht storage facility stands out as the most technically advanced facility in the Central Caribbean.
The shipyard’s 100 metric ton Marine Travelift easily handles yachts to nearly 100 feet and weights to 220,000 pounds (100,000 kilograms). Our lift slip accommodates yachts with beams to 24 feet and drafts of 12 feet.
Our secure, ultramodern shipyard is fully lighted, with both electrical and water connections throughout. Our modern ground tackle insures yachts are bunked and stored both safely and securely. The shipyard is patrolled 24/7 by our security team.
A submersible lift for use in our wide launching ramp is now being considered so that the shipyard will be able to hand wide-beam catamarans up to 36-foot beam in the near future. A crane is presently used for hauling extra wide beam vessels.
All standard underwater maintenance and repair services are offered including high pressure cleaning, scraping, barrier coating, gel coating, fibre glass repair and anti fouling application. The underwater services further include zinc replacement, cutless bearing removal and replacement, plus shaft straightening and propeller repair. Seacock servicing and folding propeller servicing is also included.
Additional topside services can also be arranged, including mast stepping.
Immediately adjacent to the Travelift slip is our 100-foot state of the art fueling jetty, which features both high speed and conventional dispensing pumps. Both gasoline and low sulphur diesel fuels are available.
Dockside sanitary pump-out services are available both at the marina and the shipyard if required. It is important to note that the shipyard and marina have been designated a duty and tax free zone by the Jamaican Government, which permits all, supplies and parts to be admitted at near stateside prices (plus shipping of course).
